People today are startled to discover that its been thirty years since the death of Elvis Presley.

Known world wide simply as Elvis, he is still  regarded as one of the most important figures of the twentieth century whose career as a singer and entertainer redefined popular music.

Elvis knew great acclaim through his live concert performances, history making television appearances and as star performer in 33 successful films.

His historic string of hits in 1956 and ‘57 included "Don't Be Cruel," "Hound Dog," "Love Me Tender," "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock." And later such classic album tracks as "In the Ghetto, "Suspicious Minds" "Kentucky Rain" " Blue Hawaii " among many other's.

Statistically, he holds records for the most Top Forty hits (107), the most Top Ten hits (38), the most consecutive #1 hits (10) and the most weeks at #1 (80).

Americans simply haven't been able to get enough of the King Of rock and roll... or get over the disparaging gaps in what often has been reported, as the " real truth " about his life.

Here are three intriguing  revealing  views, that expose more of Elvis behind the closed doors of Graceland.

Elvis Presley, his talent, good looks, charisma, humor, as well as the humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life..

endeared him to millions of people across the globe.

But if you wanted a close up picture of the real life of Elvis Presley, the personal side beyond that of the media..

just who would you choose to unfold the truth before your eyes?

Elvis' Maid Remembers

It's alleged that no one could paint a better picture of the secret life of Elvis for you other than someone who was always close by.

Someone who worked as his trusted cook and maid at Graceland?

Someone who perhaps was the true fly on the wall..

whose daily tasks centered around keeping the 'King of Rock & Roll' happy, and whose every move was designed to please the greatest music legend the entertainment world has ever known.

Here is that unseen eye picture, as painted by Nancy Rooks.

Nancy B. Rooks worked for Elvis from 1967 until his untimely death in 1977.

Read her stories of what those years were like, of what the routines were at Graceland, and what it meant to be close to Elvis and his family on a daily basis.

Read the sad account of her rushing upstairs, after a frantic call from Ginger Alden, and finding him on the bathroom floor.

Elvis' Maid Remembers

This Book, " Inside Graceland " presents that picture, one that every Elvis fan will want to see.

Review At Amazon

This is the best Elvis book I have ever read and I have read many.

Most Elvis books have a small mention of Elvis's grandmother and his aunt Delta but Nancy tells us a lot about these two strong women.

I really liked learning more about them also Nancy goes into great detail about Elvis and his last days.

I also enjoyed the stories about the strange things that went on in Graceland after Elvis died.

Nancy also mentions Lisa's marriages. and tells us a little about that this is just a very very interesting book on Elvis as well as the Presley family.

I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Reviews At Amazon ::  BOOK :: Priscilla Rewrites Elvis History

* This was a highly anticipated book of its time. Will Priscilla finally divulge the truth about her time with Elvis?

Well, sadly, the answer is no.

There are a lot of stories in here that are possibly true, and some that are verifiably true. And then, there are many that are recreated to secure Priscilla's place in the Elvis legacy as the grieving widow ( of which she is not. She left in 1972)

There is also not much talk of her affairs, except a little about Mike Stone.

The entire novel is slanted to give the impression that Priscilla was this sweet innocent girl the entire time and was taken advantage of, used and then tossed aside.

This is not the case.

Sure Elvis did some unsavory things but if you want to know the real truth read "Child Bride".

That writer has evidence to back it up.

Priscilla, to this day, is still contradicting her stories in this book and has , on a couple of occasions, when presented with irrefutable evidence, had to recant.

A sign of a truth teller?

Priscilla Rewrites Elvis History,  was written for one reason only, to rewrite and secure Priscilla's place in the immemorial legacy of Elvis Presley.

Reviews At Amazon ::  BOOK :: Me and a Guy Named Elvis: My Lifelong Friendship with Elvis Presley (Hardcover)

From Publishers Weekly ::  In 1954, at age 12, Schilling first met fellow Memphis homeboy Presley, a 19-year-old truck driver "a year out of high school and less than a week into a recording career that carried no guarantee of turning into steady work.

" He provides a fascinating view of Memphis in the late '50s, but most of his memoir is from after 1964, when he officially joined the retinue of friends—the "Memphis Mafia"—that served as Elvis's surrogate family.

While this thoroughly enjoyable book deftly describes his many adventures with Elvis and other notables, including the Beatles, Ann-Margret, the Beach Boys and Billy Joel, the heart of it is his many observations of Elvis's inner exploration.

Unlike the rest of Elvis's posse, Schilling was liberal in his musical and racial views, and he shared Elvis's spiritual hunger "for a sense of meaning and purpose.

" Schilling provides the most detailed account yet of the sometimes comical LSD trip he took with Presley, and he poignantly observes the "disappointment and frustration" Elvis felt about his Hollywood movies.

Overall, Schilling's heartfelt narrative makes this more than just another piece of Elvis product.

Review At Amazon

With three steamy books by the women in Elvis's life already published (1997's Elvis: In the Twilight of Memory by June Juanico; Priscilla Beaulieu Presley's 1991 tell-all, Elvis and Me; and Joyce Bova's Don't Ask Forever: My Love Affair with Elvis), can the world absorb another?

Suzanne Finstad, author of Child Bride: The Untold Story of Priscilla Beaulieu Presley, certainly hopes so. With as many darkly intriguing details as the chambers of Graceland, Finstad--journalist, lawyer, and author of two true-crime books--defends her own theories on the complexity and grit of the former Mrs. Presley.

Why did she conspire with her mother to keep her paternity a secret? How old was she when she took up with the King? Suzanne Finstad treats us to her own exhaustively researched version of the facts
